  3. Tap Start Scan. Live progress, live hosts and open ports update as it runs.
  4. When it finishes, tap View results for per-host and per-port details.
  5. Optional: tap Export to save or share the results as a CSV file.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the app require an internet connection?

No. All scanning is local and offline. You only need to be connected to the network you want to scan (such as your home Wi-Fi). The app never contacts the internet.

Do I need to be on the same network as the devices?

Yes. To scan a local network you must connect your iPhone or iPad to the same Wi-Fi/LAN. Routers and firewalls may also block scans coming from outside their network.

Why does the app ask for Local Network permission?

iOS requires this permission so the app can send network probes to devices on your LAN. It is used only for scanning. If you declined it, enable it again in Settings → Port Scan Go → Local Network.

A scan found no open ports. Why?

Common reasons include:

How can I make a scan faster or more thorough?

How do I export results?

Open a result and tap Export. The app creates a CSV file and opens the system share sheet so you can save it to Files or send it to another app.

How do I change the language or theme?

Go to Settings. You can pick from 11 languages (or follow the system language) and choose Auto, Light or Dark appearance.

How do I clear my scan history?

Go to Settings → Clear history. This removes all saved scan records and preferences from your device. This cannot be undone.

Is it a subscription?

No. Port Scan Go is a one-time purchase. Pay once and use every feature forever, with no ads and no in-app purchases.

Responsible Use

Only scan networks and devices that you own or are explicitly authorized to test. Unauthorized scanning may be illegal in your jurisdiction. You are solely responsible for how you use this app.
