ViewCAD Pro does not collect, store, or share any personal data.
The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Your drawings are opened and rendered entirely on your own device, and are never uploaded to us or to anyone else.
1. Information we collect
We collect no personal information. In particular:
- No accounts. The app has no sign-up, no login and no user profile.
- No analytics or telemetry. We do not collect usage statistics, session data or device identifiers.
- No advertising. The app contains no ads and no advertising SDKs.
- No tracking. We do not track you across apps or websites.
- No location data. The app never requests or reads your location.
- No contacts, calendars, health or microphone data. The app never requests these permissions.
2. Your drawings and files
DWG and DXF files you open are read and parsed locally on your device. They are never uploaded, converted on a server, or shared with any third party. The app works with no network connection at all.
Your list of recently opened drawings is stored only on your device, so the app can show it to you next time. It is never sent anywhere.
3. Permissions the app requests, and why

You can review or revoke any of these permissions at any time in Settings › ViewCAD Pro on your device. Revoking the Photos permission only disables the screenshot feature; the rest of the app keeps working.
4. Feedback you choose to send us
The app includes an optional feedback form. When you use it, the app opens your system mail app with a pre-filled message, and the message is sent by you, not by the app. Nothing is transmitted unless you press send.
If you do send us feedback, we receive whatever you chose to include — typically a category, an optional rating and your message text, plus your email address. We use it only to answer you and to improve the app. We do not use it for marketing, we do not add you to any mailing list, and we never sell or share it.
5. Third-party services
The app includes no third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or tracking services.
The CAD engine shipping inside the app is built from open-source components (LibreDWG and the MLightCAD renderer). These run entirely on your device and make no network requests.
Some features rely on Apple system services — for example the system photo library when saving a screenshot, or the system mail app when sending feedback. Apple's handling of that data is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
6. Data retention and deletion
- On our side: we hold no data about you, because none is ever collected.
- On your device: the recent drawings list stays on your device until you delete it. You can clear it at any time in the app under
Settings › Clear History. Deleting the app removes all app data from your device. - Feedback emails: if you have emailed us, that message stays in our support inbox until it is no longer needed. You can ask us to delete it at any time using the contact address below, and we will do so.
7. Children's privacy
ViewCAD Pro is a professional drawing viewer and is not directed at children. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children. We do not knowingly receive personal data from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country).
8. Your privacy rights
Regulations such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you the right to access, correct, port or delete personal data held about you. We do not hold any personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to retrieve, correct or export.
The only exception is the feedback email you may have chosen to send us. If you would like it deleted, contact us at the address below and we will remove it.
9. Security
Because your drawings never leave your device and we operate no servers that store your content, there is no transmission or server-side storage of your drawings to protect. Local data is subject to your device's own protections, such as your passcode and device encryption.
10. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will publish the revised version on this page and update the date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
